What is Cuey?+
A native teleprompter for macOS that sits right under your Mac's camera, so you can read your script while looking at the lens.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams?+
Yes. Cuey is its own window on your Mac, so it works alongside any call or recording app. It isn't affiliated with any of them.
Does Cuey follow my voice?+
Yes. In Follow mode Cuey matches what you say against your script and advances when you reach the next line. You can also use timed Read mode or step manually in Notes mode.
Does Cuey record or store my audio?+
No. Cuey doesn't store audio or transcripts. Voice Follow uses Apple's speech recognition; when on-device recognition isn't available for your language, Apple's service may process the audio.
Can I change the size, speed and position?+
Yes. Choose from four sizes, adjust text size, opacity and reading speed, and place it at the notch, under or beside the camera, or anywhere on screen.
Which Macs are supported?+
Cuey requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Can I use keyboard shortcuts?+
Yes: ⇧⌘V to quick paste, ⇧⌘P to start or stop, ⌥⌘Space to play or pause, and ⌥⌘T to show or hide. Shortcuts work while Cuey is the active app; during a call, the same commands are in Cuey's menu bar icon.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. Everything is unlocked for 2 days. After that Cuey keeps working as the Free version (Read and Notes modes, every placement), and Cuey Pro unlocks Voice Follow with a one-time purchase. No subscription.
